Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program

Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit

Notice is hereby given that Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal of .07% for FTA funded transportation projects spanning federal fiscal years 2011, 2012 and 2013. This goal is in accordance with regulations of USDOT 49 CFR Part 26.

The rational for this goal and supporting information regarding TCAT's DBE Program will be available for public inspection at TCAT, 737 Willow Avenue, Ithaca, New York 14850 between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday - Friday for 30 days following the publication of this notice.   TCAT will accept comments regarding the FY 2011-2013 goal for 45 days after the publication of this notice. Comments can be sent to the attention of Nancy Oltz at the above address.  This information is also posted on TCAT's website www.tcatbus.com .

General liability, workers compensation, health insurance, property insurance, risk management.

Operations
Vehicle filters, fuels, oils, grease, antifreeze, batteries, tires,electronics, diesel engines, transmissions, radiators, radiomaintenance, miscellaneous fasteners, parts, washers, bus detergent,disposal of waste oil and solid waste.

Printing
Brochures, system maps, bus schedules, stationary, drawings.

Transportation
Fixed-route bus service, demand responsive paratransit service.

Transit buses and components, fare collection system, bicycle racks,mobile radios, wheelchair lifts, paratransit buses, autos, trucks,vehicle painting, decals, towing.

Miscellaneous
Office supplies, transit operations software, financial systemsoftware, other software, cellular phones and service, local and longdistance telephone service, magnetic stripe plastic fare cards,promotional items, web design, website hosting.
