TCAT is preparing to begin the second round of public involvement in the Transit Development Plan. TCAT will hold informational meetings during the second week of April, according to the following schedule:
*These meetings will focus on areas of particular interest during the first round of public involvement. These meetings are open to the general public, not only residents of the areas in question!
At each informational meeting, TCAT staff will present an overview of the final proposed route change recommendations. This presentation will take 45 minutes to 1 hour. A group question-and-answer session will comprise the remainder of the meeting.
In addition, on Thursday, April 23, at 4:00 p.m. at the TCAT facility (737 Willow Ave), the TCAT Board of Directors will hold a public hearing in which members of the public may address the Board on the subject of the proposed recommendations. As we expect a large turnout, we ask that you limit your comments to the Board to three minutes. A shuttle bus service from the Green @ Commons and Seneca @ Commons bus stops to the TCAT Facility will operate from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm to make connections with TCAT buses. Persons needing sign language translation are encouraged to call TCAT at 277-9388 ext 420 before April 16, 2009 so arrangements can be made.
UPDATED: In order to give the Board of Directors sufficient opportunity to review comments received during the public comment period and public hearings, the Board of Directors vote on the proposed recommendations has been moved from April 23 to Thursday, April 30, at 4:00 p.m. at the TCAT facility (737 Willow Ave). The public hearing on Thursday, April 23 is not affected by this change.
If you have any comments about the changes, we invite you to email your written comments to tcat@tcatmail.com or mail them to 737 Willow Ave, Ithaca NY, 14850 before Thursday, April 23.
