Fall service went into effect Aug. 22, along with minor
changes to better serve ridership.
After a successful trial period
over the summer, TCAT will continue Route 51 service on Saturday and Sunday to
Maple Avenue.
Though fall service generally
begins Aug. 22, schedules will vary on dates to accommodate arriving students.
They are as follows:
·
The Route 92 will
return to service on Friday, Aug. 20, with the route being changed to travel on
Dearborn Road to Wycoff and Highland roads. The Route 92 will also travel on
Thurston Avenue to Wait Avenue to serve passengers at Balch and Risley halls.
·
The Route 93 will
continue to travel down Cradit Farm Road and onto Thurston Avenue to accommodate
riders at Balch Hall. Also, Route 93's Sunday service will resume on Sunday, Aug.
22.
·
The Route 22,
which provides summer service between Green Street and local parks only in the
summer, will no longer run after Friday, Aug. 20.
·

weekend service will resume on Saturday, Aug. 21.
·
Route 31 will
resume its 10:40 p.m. trip departing from Green Street on Monday, Aug. 23.

back to operating every 15 minutes, as opposed to every 30 minutes, starting Friday,
Aug. 20.
·
The Route 83 will
resume a modified schedule on Friday, Aug. 20 with service from West Campus to
Central Campus. Full service goes into effect Monday, Aug. 23.
·
Thurston Avenue
is now open with Routes 10 and 30 running normally.
As a reminder, The Shops at
Ithaca Mall notified TCAT that it is no longer permitted to stop outside Target
department store citing alleged damage buses have caused the roadway there.
Instead, the bus is now stopping at the TCAT bus shelter area in front of the Sear's
department store.
