Transit Grant Application
Tompkins
County is applying to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) on behalf of
Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit, Inc. (TCAT) and the County for a Section
5307 Urban Formula Program grant. TCAT serves Tompkins County. The grant provides funding for operating
assistance and capital projects with New York State, and local funds as follows:

Comments on the
proposed projects are invited from the general public, private bus and taxi
companies, other public transportation providers and human service agencies.
Interested parties may comment on the project or obtain more details about the

Human
service agencies involved in providing client transportation are encouraged to
obtain copies of the grant applications and submit proposals for service
coordination. Private bus and taxi
operators may request copies of the grant applications from the above person
and may submit proposals, including cost estimates, to provide the service as
described.
If
you wish to comment on any aspect of the proposed project, submit a proposal, a
request for service coordination or to request for a public hearing, you must
make your interest known in writing within twenty
days of the date of this publication and provide your comments within two
weeks of the date of your receipt of the grant applications. Your requests and/or comments must be
forwarded to the above person. The Program of Projects shown above will be
considered final unless they are amended and re-published.
