TCAT Introduces Temporary 50-Cent Off-Peak Fare

This summer, TCAT is introducing a off-peak fare--66% off the cost of a regular adult fare!
Here are the details:
- The off-peak fare is valid July 1st and ends August 31st.
- "Off-peak" is: 10AM to 3PM, after 6PM, and all weekend long!
- Half fare discounts do not apply to the
reduced fare promotion (your fare is fifty cents too--you're still getting 33% off!)
- The off-peak fare relates to cash fares only. Per-ride and per-month passes are the usual, already-discounted cost.
Joe Turcotte, TCAT's General Manager, says, "We wanted to do our part to help people in these tough economic times." He continues, "This is a great opportunity for people to use our safe, high quality, reliable and efficient system even more!"
Where can you go with this fifty cent special? How about hopping on the Rt. 15 to enjoy Buttermilk Falls State Park, one of Tompkins County's outdoor gems? If you're in the mood for more waterfalls, the Rt. 22 is for you--it will take you to Taughannock Falls State Park. If you're looking to do a little shopping, the Rts. 13, 30, 32, 35, 37, 44, and 45 will take you to the Shoppes at Ithaca Mall.
