TCAT RESPONDS TO H1N1

TCAT is keeping close tabs on H1N1 influenza impact in its service region and is putting into place several preventive steps to curtail the spread of the flu virus.

Hand sanitizers are being installed in each bus and all passengers are urged to use them on their travels. In addition, TCAT bus handlers are taking extra measures to frequently sanitize all buses and public transit areas with disinfectant.

TCAT urges passengers to heed the advice of health professionals, including the Tompkins County Health Department, and adhere to good hygienic practices and stay home if they experience flu-like symptoms.
