GOT IDEAS ON HOW IMPROVE TCAT ROUTES AND SCHEDULES?

FALL 2020 IS THE PERFECT TIME TO SPEAK UP!

Whether you want to look at it from the big picture or the nitty gritty, the Transit Development Plan(TDP) public process is a once-in-a-decade opportunity for riders and transit stakeholders to participate in a comprehensive review of all TCAT’s routes and schedules and to propose specific changes.

The public arm of the TDP process kicked off with a general overview with two virtual open house sessions on Oct. 14. That was just the beginning. There are still many more ways for riders (and non-riders too) through mid-November to share suggestions and observations, to include the joining a focus group; meeting with our transit-savvy Transit Ambassadors; talk to us  by phone during our “office hours;” or by simply using an interactive planning tool here created by our TDP consulting firm, Sam Schwartz Consulting.

 WHY GET INVOLVED NOW?

Yes, TCAT does take riders’ suggestions and makes changes –whenever possible — all year round. The extensive TDP process, on the other hand, devotes more time and resources to implement more complex changes. Generally, it’s a once-in-a- decade opportunity for a comprehensive overhaul of our local transit system.

JOIN A  VIRTUAL FOCUS GROUP

TCAT is facilitating smaller focus group meetings the last two weeks of October and the first three weeks of November to discuss topics specific to different sectors of our ridership. TO JOIN A FOCUS GROUP please contact Patty Poist at TCAT, (607) 277-9388, ext. 560 or email pp1@tcatmail.com.  Please write “Focus Group” in subject line and specify what rider-type session you would like to attend. We will then send you information on how to connect to Zoom.
